As you may have noticed, there are many butterflies throughout this site. There is a reason for this. Butterflies are very special to me. They symbolize my re-birth once I got into recovery. Before a butterfly turns into a beautiful creature, it first must be a less than beautiful caterpillar. That's how it was for me with recovery. I couldn't have the beautiful life I have today without first experiencing the ugliness of addiction. Before recovery, I was the caterpillar, but today I am the butterfly.
